Wow, Planet Closed Boiling Sea
A team of astronomers found a planet where a year lasts only 18 hours. The planet's water has a radius about twice the size of Earth. 55 Cancri e is the innermost planet orbiting sun-like star called 55 Cancri A. The distance is about 40 light years from Earth.

The team from the University of Liege in Belgium reveals more details about the planet after conducting a new study. The team led by Michael Gillon was observing the planet using the Hubble space telescope space NASA and Canada.

The use of the telescope is very important because astronomers can analyze the amount of light from the planet's parent star cap as he passed. It allows them to measure the radius of the planet that produces findings of its size twice that of Earth.

This discovery allows Gillon and his team to conclude that although the planet is rocky, its size is too large if only made of stone. The astronomers found that 55 Cancri e-containing volatiles, are compounds with low boiling points that are found on the surface of the planet. The compound is composed of water, nitrogen and carbon dioxide.

The presence of volatile makes the team investigated two possible findings. The first is that the atmosphere is made of hydrogen and helium, somewhat similar to the atmospheric ice giants like Jupiter or Saturn. But they ruled that because such conditions would dissipate into space only a few million years.

Instead they conclude that a parcel of water about 20 percent of the planet's mass is the cause of the large size of the planet, thus making it the world's water. Instead of water that exists on earth only 0.023 percent of Earth's mass. The world of water at 55 Cancri e has a resemblance to Kevin Costner movie that was released in 1995, Waterworld.

Conversely, because close to the sun, the water in conditions where the liquid and gas phases into one. The planet is also in a state where one side is under the permanent sunshine sementarasisi others are in permanent darkness. The host star of 55 Cancri e, known as 55 Cancri A may be seen with the naked eye on map Cancer.

This star is one of a handful of stars known to have at least five planets. The deepest part of these planets is 55 Cancri E. It was discovered in 2004.
